Seven Ways to Save Resources in your Kitchen

The kitchen is that place of the house where we spend a substantial amount of time. While working in the kitchen, it is important to be aware of wastage that may occur inadvertently such as water, electricity or food. Subsequently, it is also important to prevent the occurrence of such wastage.
Follow these 7 steps to save valuable resources and work smart while in your kitchen.
Use a Container While Hand-washing Dishes

Do dispose of leftovers before putting vessels in the sink. Do not use the sink strainer as a trash bin. The best way to utilize food wastage is to create compost out of it. This will make your Sleek kitchen clean and also produce nutritious soil for your plants.

When you wash dishes by hand, here is an efficient way to save water; Fill a large container with soapy water and dip your plates in it before scrubbing. A lot of water may be wasted otherwise if you rinse each plate under a running tap.

Use an Efficient Dishwasher

While installing a dishwasher, ensure that you buy one with good energy ratings. One with stainless steel interiors is a good choice for easy cleaning and rust free interiors. Always run the dishwasher on full capacity to save on water and electricity. If it’s just a few plates or mugs rinse them by hand instead of running the dishwasher.

Carry a Shopping List

When you go shopping, always carry a list of items you need. This ensures you only buy essentials and prevents you ending up with a lot of merchandise that looks attractive but you may not use later.

Use Bulk Bins

Many retail outlets offer bulk bins to consumers. Using them, you may weigh and buy only the amount of product that you need. This helps you to get rid of the excess amount that comes in packaged products.

Use Smaller Ovens

If you need to heat, bake or grill small items, use the microwave or grill to save energy, instead of your oven. Ovens usually have higher capacities and use that much more energy.

Treat the Waste

Do dispose of leftovers before putting vessels in the sink. Do not use the sink strainer as a trash bin. The best way to utilize food wastage is to create compost out of it. This will make your Sleek kitchen clean and also produce nutritious soil for your plants.

Fill the Refrigerator

Full refrigerators save energy. Keeping your refrigerator full means all the things in it are cooled evenly. Because they are so closely packed together there is negligible loss of cooling. Also, clean your refrigerator’s air filter regularly to save energy.

Practising these simple steps will help you save a lot of resources while you work in your Sleek modular kitchen

Embellish your Kitchen with the Latest Trends

The kitchen is an important part of your home. Its appearance reflects the beauty of the entire house. You need to design the kitchen carefully so that you may conveniently carry on your daily tasks, too.

The latest designing trends will help you add some glamour to your kitchen. Here are a few of them:

Storage and counters

Home-makers prefer to have the storage section nearby so that they may reach any item easily. To ensure that every item is easily available, people invest in a smart kitchen solution such as Sleek modular kitchen so that all their requirements are taken into account before designing the workspace.
Counters are designed so that both adults and kids may conveniently use them. Parents set up different counters for kids. These counters have a slightly lower height than regular counters. Counter-tops are popularly made of granite. You may choose this material as it is strong, lasts longer and resists bacteria.

Structure of the Kitchen

Nowadays, kitchens are not cluttered with too many counters and cabinets. Spacious designs that provide ample room for moving in the kitchen are the norm. For flooring, materials that are easy to clean are most preferred.

Open layouts are often used for kitchens as they no longer remain a place of cooking alone but socializing as well. Safety is an important aspect to take care of while planning an open kitchen. Ensure that the barbeque, stove, and knives, are not easily accessible to children.

Kitchen Aesthetics

The aesthetics of a kitchen should match with the overall aesthetics of the house. For instance, if you plan to set up an outdoor kitchen, it should look just like an extended part of the house. Outdoor kitchens are made of weather-resistant and durable materials.

Lighting is very important in the kitchen. Inadequate or too bright lighting may cause your kitchen to look gloomy or garish. Choose lighting and fixtures to ensure a well-lit and cozy kitchen. For cabinets lighter colours will make your Sleek kitchen look dazzling and elegant.

Tableware

Tableware has become trendier with bright colours and funky designs being used. Orange is the current favourite when it comes to cutlery. Metallic colours may also be used to give the perfect party effect while entertaining. Floral patterns in pink, red, black and gold are all-time favourites. Bold graphics and prints are for those who prefer a funky, carefree set up.

Whatever be your choices for your kitchen, be sure to invest in quality products that will stand the test of time and be a source of enjoyment for you, your family and your guests. After all, having a quality product such as a Sleek modular kitchen deserves items that will complement its class.

Buying the Perfect Kitchen Accessories

It is natural for your kitchen to be in a mess if you are someone who likes to cook every day especially if you do it more than once a day. Your stylish modular kitchen is sure to go unnoticed if it is buried under the debris of all the meals you have cooked and consumed in it. If your kitchen is what we just described, then you are probably looking for ways and steps to make sure that your Sleek modular kitchen keeps looking stunning and impressive. There are a number of accessories that you can add to make your kitchen more storage efficient to reduce the mess.

Here are seven steps to accessorizing your Sleek kitchen to take it from messy to impressive:
  1. The first step for every organizational project is to de-clutter. Remove all outdated items from countertops and cabinets; trash everything past its expiry and give/throw away things you haven’t used for six months or more. Make sure you limit the number of appliances on the counter top and have as few things on it as possible
  2. Replacing some of your utilities with fancy looking ones can help you add beautiful yet useful visual elements to your kitchen
  3. The same goes for your dish towels, replace old and dull dish towels with new and bright ones to add a splash of freshness and color to your Sleek modular kitchen
  4. Get new kitchen décor elements that are pleasing to the eyes and make everyone who steps into your kitchen happy. For example, placing good looking canisters or a fancy decorative tea set can do wonders for the overall look of the kitchen
  5. Ample lighting is key to making any space look better. Install light fixtures strategically so that each part of your Sleek kitchen looks bright and gets noticed
  6. If you have cabinets with glass doors, make sure you store interesting and visually appealing cookware or tableware in them. Brightly colored décor items or crockery stored in glass-fronted cabinets makes for a charming visual element in the kitchen
  7. Group similar things together while arranging your supplies and cookware to make the kitchen look neat and organized.

Ensure your kitchen is kept clean at all times and all cooking paraphernalia is put away as soon as you are done cooking.  These are just a few to help you organize, store and accessorize your Sleek kitchen so that it stands out and impresses everyone.

Modular Kitchen Maintenance Tips

Modular kitchens are the latest trend when it comes to designing kitchens to make them look stunning and more space efficient. Modular designs are versatile and can be customized to fit kitchens of different shapes and sizes. Maintaining a kitchen is an essential task whether or not it is a modular one, as that is where your food is cooked and stored. However, having a modular kitchen calls for more attention when it comes to maintenance to ensure its longevity.

Here are some tips on how to maintain your Sleek modular kitchen to ensure it looks and performs well:
  1. Cleaning all the surfaces in your kitchen regularly can go a long way in keeping it looking new as ever. Use a mild cleaning spray and/or a safe disinfectant spray to ensure that the surfaces your food comes in contact with are clean and hygienic.
  2. You can easily keep your stainless steel Sleek kitchen surfaces, tiles, and steel appliances shining at all times by cleaning them with baking soda.
  3. When it comes to cleaning the sinks in your Sleek modular kitchen, the cleaning method and materials will vary according to the type of sink. For steel sinks, steer clear of cleaning agents that have chloride in them as it corrodes steel and try to use nylon scrubbers to avoid scratches on the sink. When it comes to porcelain sinks, most people swear by vinegar to keep them clean and shiny.
  4. If you have a dishwasher installed, rinsing the dishes with plain water to get rid of any waste before placing them in the machine can help you increase the longevity of the dishwasher and make its maintenance easier.
  5. Get rid of tough stains on your Sleek kitchen surfaces by pouring cleaning liquids directly on them and scrubbing after they have soaked in for a bit.
  6. To ensure that no debris gets stuck within small parts and on surfaces of your stoves, make sure to clean them every time after you cook. Food particles often get lodged in the valves and crevices of stove cook-tops and can be difficult to get rid of if not cleaned immediately.
  7. Apart from cleaning the surfaces on which you cook and eat, it is also important to clean the cabinets where you store your supplies. Wipe the cabinet on a daily basis to ensure that no dust or oil fumes settle on it.
  8. If your Sleek modular kitchen has a chimney, it is advisable to clean the chimney every six months with a heavy-duty vacuum cleaner.
  9. Kitchen rugs and cleaning cloths are often overlooked when it comes to cleanliness. These items should be washed and disinfected regularly as bacteria can breed on such materials easily.
  10. Empty and clean your refrigerator on a weekly basis with warm soap water.

We hope that these tips will help you maintain a healthy and clean modular kitchen.  A clean kitchen not only looks good but is also important for the health of the family. Invest on renovating your kitchen to get maximum benefits

Do you know investing in a remodelled kitchen may give you 80% to 100% return? Not only that, you will also get all the privileges until you sell the house. We will tell you how this investment benefits you.

The investment you make on your kitchen becomes a financial asset for you in the long run. When you want to sell your house, the renovated kitchen will help you to push its price. Besides, the revamped look will give you a sense of pleasure while you perform your daily chores. Remodelling is an efficient way to adorn your home and enjoy your living.

The following will suggest where to invest in your kitchen to get the maximum benefits:

Choose the right quality

Kitchen is the most important place of your house. Choosing the best quality material will highly benefit you in the returns. Choose hardwood or metal for your cabinets. Most of your time is spent in the kitchen and the cabinets are often used by you and your kids. Thus, the strong material is necessary to protect it against any damage and enhance the look and life. The rigid material will also leave a good impression on the buyers.

On the other hand, if you buy cheap material, the cabinets will be blemished soon. The buyer will have a major reason to ask for a discount on the basis that he will have to redo the kitchen. This will increase your losses.

Quality products will not only give you good returns but also offer a pleasurable experience while you stay there. When reselling, it is the outer appearance and experience that matters the most. A single cheap material may fade your spending over plumbing, tiles, etc. You may also opt for a Sleek Modular Kitchen to get the best quality.

Adorn the kitchen

Remodelling and adorning your kitchen is very important. Buyers always prefer such homes. It adds value to your home. Not doing so may restrict buyers from considering your house. You may add enhancements like crown molding, lighting, decorative hardware and glass doors to your kitchen. A personalized kitchen may also enhance your cooking experience. The Sleek Kitchen will give you many such decorative options.

Increase the storage space

Storage is something that everyone prefers in their house for all the convenience that it offers. This is an important criterion to take care of while renovating your kitchen. You may boost storage by adding more cabinets, applying creative space solutions or using excellent storage accessories.
The investment you make in redesigning your kitchen will give you dual benefits. The alluring kitchen you make will simplify your daily life and when you want to sell your house, the same kitchen will help you to get the best price.
